Frequently Asked Questions
We highly value our customers and consider ourselves not only your provider, but also your partner in workplace drug and alcohol testing. No matter the size of your business, we are here to support you every step of the way. And that includes a transparent process. Here are some questions you may have but if there is anything you want to know, please just ask us.
Very simple .You engage our services for a variety of reasons. A DATS staff member and testing vehicle will turn up to site or place of your convenience. Our friendly staff will greet the donor and assist them to the testing vehicle where the process will take place in a clinical environment. Our staff will fully explain the process to the donor to put them at ease and ensure they fully understand the reasoning behind the process. A signed consent is obtained and the the screening is completed without delay or fuss. The results are then electronically delivered and the appropriate actions or process to follow depending on the outcome of the screening results. If the results from screening are negative then the donor is then able to leave the vehicle at will and that part of the process is complete.
Should there be any further analysis required then this process is again fully explained to the donor and the appropriate people notified once complete. Again our DATS friendly and skilled staff are here to answer any questions the staff member may have. Our staff will be fully aware of your companies policy and procedures to help ease the process further.
More often than not; people can feel anxious when encountering a drug and alcohol test. They often have concerns like those surrounding the privacy, communication and handling of their test results. There is also a very real risk of sometimes confusing cross reacting medications and ill-informed information by under qualified collectors. Our qualified staff are here to help!
If people are not taking illicit drugs but taking some sort of medication, DATS staff will properly explain to the person being tested about the importance of medication and the possible detection within the process and the companies procedures around such identification.
Of course the majority of people that we test will not test non negative and their experience with the testing process must also be performed respectfully and with a caring approach.
Our expert collectors are trained in ensuring that your workplace is not unduly disrupted by testing activities. We also ensure that all staff are treated with the utmost respect, privacy, clinical hygiene and concern for their health and welfare.
All DATS staff are skilled in performing on-site drug testing efficiently and compliantly. We also ensure that your valuable staff are not disrupted by testing activities no more than is entirely necessary.
Our staff are qualified to ensure that risks to your staff are minimised. This can only be achieved from a clinical approach to the collection process.
As an employer, we also understand that you can be anxious to ensure that your workforce is treated with respect. It is also vitally important to us that staff who are tested have a good experience during testing and can get on with their work without disruption.
